Got an operation that’s outgrown its spreadsheets?

Tell me what your business does and where it’s jamming up. If I’m not the right person for it, I’ll say so and point you somewhere better.

Lower Mainland, British Columbia, on Canadian business hours — for businesses across Canada and the United States.

Where I work, and how

I am in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, on Canadian business hours. The businesses I build for are mostly nowhere near Vancouver, and are never the worse for it.

Super Sonic, the equipment rental yard whose ERP I built and still run, is in Edmonton. I have run its ERP, billing, payroll, and field apps from a province away for eighteen years, with no office there and no standing weekly meeting. Remote is how every system on this site was built.

I am one person. Whoever you talk to first is the same person who scopes it, builds it, deploys it, and picks up the phone when something is wrong. More about me.

What to send

A few lines is plenty. The more of these you can answer, the more useful my first reply will be:

  • What the business does — what you rent, sell, lend, build, or service, and roughly how big it is.
  • What you run on now — spreadsheets, paper, an off-the-shelf package, or an old custom system.
  • Where it jams up — the job that takes too long, the thing that gets missed, the report nobody trusts.
  • Who uses it — office, counter, field crews, customers, and on what devices.
  • Any deadline — a season, a contract, a system being switched off.

What happens next

I read it and reply myself. If it is a fit, we talk it through, and I tell you plainly whether it is a new build, a rescue of what you already have, or something an off-the-shelf product would do better.

If I’m not the right person for it, I’ll say so and point you somewhere better.
